Join AYPROS and a coalition of local community partners for a meaningful MLK Day of Service focused on giving back to the historic Burton Street neighborhood.

In the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy, this day is about showing up for one another, caring for shared spaces, and starting the year with action rooted in service. Volunteers will spend the afternoon helping beautify the area while working alongside organizations that are deeply invested in the Burton Street community and its future.

This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute in a tangible way while connecting with others who believe that growth is not just personal, but communal.

Event Details & What to Expect

Volunteers will assist with a variety of outdoor beautification and community improvement projects around the Burton Street area. Specific tasks may include light landscaping, cleanup, planting, and general maintenance to support the Peace Gardens and surrounding spaces.

No prior experience is required. This event is open to all skill levels, and tools or supplies will be provided as needed.

We encourage participants to dress comfortably and be prepared to work outdoors, additionally, the forecast predicts some rain so make sure you're prepared!
