Alan helps clients grow, protect and transition their wealth through a unique combination of the latest financial planning resources and community values such as honesty, clarity and compassion. He leads the construction of our teams investment strategies, vetting the most promising opportunities and creating the appropriate allocation for each client.
With nearly 30 years of financial expertise, Alan has held positions with Merrill Lynch, UBS and Oppenheimer & Co., and as North Carolina State University’s Director of Accounting. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in accounting.
A lifelong Asheville resident, Alan is dedicated to his community and its abundant natural resources. This passion for people and conservation led him to support and volunteer with organizations, including Young Life, Manna Food Bank and the Coastal Conservation Association. An avid outdoorsman, Alan spends his free time with his wife, Lisa, on their family farm in Hendersonville, NC, and enjoying the waters and forests of the Carolinas

A native of northern Vermont, Betty is fulfilling her dream of moving back to the mountains and has brought over 35 years of experience in the financial industry to Asheville with her. She spearheads the team's operations and works closely with clients as a Registered Client Specialist. From daily operations, to trading managed accounts, to 401k performance monitoring, Betty proceeds with exceptional attention to detail and thorough execution.
Betty has volunteered with two non-profit organizations serving on their Board of Directors. She finds she is happiest when serving others. She enjoys doing yardwork and is excited to discover all of the flora and fauna of her new home in Weaverville. Betty and her husband Ed find themselves taking long walks in the woods with their dog, Dixie.

Julie helps clients align their financial objectives with their life goals to grow and preserve their wealth for generations to come. She forges deep relationships to guide clients through life’s changes and select and implement a strategy reflective of their values and goals. With a passion for closing the gender gap in investing, she believes client education and advocacy are vital throughout the wealth management journey.
With more than 20 years of wealth management expertise, Julie previously worked at First Union, UBS and Oppenheimer & Co. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S in communication.
Active in the Asheville community, Julie volunteers with Manna Food Bank and has served on several boards, including the NC Stage Company, the PTO Board of Claxton Elementary School, and the Asheville Affiliates. Together with her three children, Beau, Summer and Liv, and their golden retriever Ryder, she enjoys Asheville’s natural beauty through hiking, skiing, boating, tennis, golf and more.
Phyllis Jamison is a Client Service Associate who makes it her mission to see that all of our clients feel right at home. She also assists with administrative operations and scheduling, and overall ensures that the team is running as smoothly as possible. Phyllis became a Registered Financial Associate and worked at Merrill Lynch, and A.G. Edwards, prior to which she was a wire operator at Robinson-Humphrey. A devoted mother of two and grandmother of four, Phyllis is a firmly-rooted North Carolinian. When she is not helping you, she is enjoying this beautiful state and her family by hiking, camping, and going to the beach.
