He leads the construction of the team's investment strategies; vetting the most promising opportunities and creating the appropriate allocations.
With nearly 30 years of financial expertise, Alan has held positions with Merrill Lynch, UBS and Oppenheimer & Co., and as North Carolina State University’s Director of Accounting. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in accounting.
A lifelong WNC resident, Alan is dedicated to his community and its abundant natural resources. This passion for people and conservation led him to support and volunteer with organizations, including Young Life, Manna Food Bank and the Coastal Conservation Association. An avid outdoorsman, Alan spends his free time with his wife, Lisa, on their family farm in Hendersonville, NC, and enjoying the waters and forests of the Carolinas.
